Default Strap with a pick holder

Many years ago I bought a mandolin from Elderly, and with it I got a strap with a leather strip sewed to one side to hold picks. This was very convenient.

However, Elderly doesn't sell anything like it now and I haven't seen one elsewhere.

Are straps like that still available?

I have one of those myself that I used many years ago. Great strap. I see similar straps for sale but without the pick slots. I have a newer one that I got with a mandolin a while back. It is not quite the quality of the original. If you can use it I would be glad to send it to you. I will try and get a pic and some measurements if you are interested.

I still have one FretSling of the three I bought back in 80-ish. Love the strap so much I made a pattern for a smaller version. Another unfunished project.

I find the pick holder a useful feature - much easier than sorting through the picks in the case compartment. Somebody asked me about mine the other day, and I had no idea where he could find one.

addamr - Thanks for the offer, but I don't need another at this point.

FWIW, they occasionally show up at my local Guitar Center.

Question Re: Strap with a pick holder

    Not adventurous enough for DIY?
add that pick-holder feature onto a strap, you like, with a little handicrafts?
