Default Anybody Got a Copy of Ranieri Method Vol 1 and 2?

Before I buy, I wanted to check to see if anyone has a copy of Volumes 1 and 2 of this method? If anyone wants to send me a physical copy, I will happily scan it with a high-quality scanner and place them on IMSLP for all to use.

I've checked eBay to no avail. I plan to buy from Schott but I wanted to check here first.

    Thanks all, and happy picking

Edit: I would of course purchase the physical Volumes and pay for shipping if someone was willing to send it.

I was just talking with Tony Damiano (Sacramento) this morning. He's got both. I'm going to see about scanning for digital access. stay tuned.

Simon, those are books 3 and 4 posted by forum user "Geoff w/a G" on IMSLP in 2016...

Jairo, mi amigo, I think I made a mistake.
How many people are going to open those PDFs, interesting though that there are, and then say, 'darn it! NOT volume 3 Simon!' ?

I feel so bad now that I think I'm going to go and learn another Bulgarian or Russian 7/8, yes!

I promise to do better next time.

And maybe someone will be encouraged and do the same with Bickford's books, Pettine's volume 4 at least...at the IMSLP they would be in good hands...

It'll be a little while before Bickford or Pettine hit public domain.

Okay, I started searching on Amazon.de and Amazon.uk but to no avail. I ended up looking on UK ebay and I found a copy of volume 1 and 2! I purchased for ~$50 US. I hope they come soon so I can use them and share with all.

If I recall correctly, the current two volume set of Ranieri was edited down from the original five volumes (I think). I am not sure why they did that. I would also be careful about copyright infringement before posting on IMSLP. The Cranz editions I have are copyrighted 1956 for volume 1 and 1959 for volume 2. And I just found by earlier edition also copyrighted by Cranz in 1925. I would not assume this is out of copyright as yet.

Well dang Jim! I had not considered that. I had just assumed since it was over 50 years old it was good to be published. I definitely wasn't trying to become an international property thief! Thanks for letting me know, legitimately.

After a little googling, it looks like "For works published before January 1, 1978, the term is 95 years from publication." That means since Ranieri died in 56, I should revisit this thread in 2051? Does this jive with your understanding?

This is what you can read in IMSLP:

"This work has been identified as being in the public domain in Canada (if the creators died in 1971 or earlier) and the United States, as well as countries where the copyright term is life+50 years. However, this work is not in the public domain in countries where the copyright term is life+70 years (including all EU countries), unless an exception (such as the rule of the shorter term) applies. Works still protected by copyright can only be used with the permission of the copyright holder. See public domain for details.
This work may not be in the public domain in all countries. Please check the copyright laws of your country."
