I'm not actually a member of Melanie Hayes' group anymore - since she moved back to her native Tennessee from Michigan - but I did some mandolin and a touch of banjo on her CD. #Here's her site: #

    [QUOTE]Hey harrmob, nice site!
Do you know the guys in Backstep from LA?

    Mandowilli-
I played Big Lagoon festival several years ago with another band (Lock, Stock and Barrel), and Backstep was on the same bill. They had incredible harmonies, from Abbieville, correct? We got to do a little late night camp site picking with some of them.

Great show Saturday night, Kevin. You guys put on a clinic on how to play FAST stuff. Great job.

Yes, harrmob they are from Abbeyville. We met them at the Suwannee Springfest in Florida and have been up to Alabama to party and pick with them several times since. Great folks!

Hey Bauer, Do you mean to say that you spent your hard-earned money to gaze upon Kevin? I can understand gazing at his Weber, however; love ya Kevin! How was that band from Florida, anyway?

Our Duo`s website is too old. Unfortunately, there`s no time for update. Well, may be in the beginning of the next year...

Steve- that was a fun set. We were told it was a family show, so any song with ANY slang can not be sung, no drinking, no smoking. Then our bass player says that all CD proceeds go to providing alcohol for under privledged children, b/c somewhere in America tonight, a child is going to bed sober. I about died, it's funny now...

Kevin and Steve, Sorry I missed the show. I didn't see the ad in the paper until after we had made other plans. I haven't seen "Fat Man Squeeze" since David departed. Fortunately, I've seen "The Wayfarers" more often; fine group!

Feedback is always appreciated at our Goshen Community Contra Dancing web site. You can click on the "music" link there to find out about our jams. We bring in a variety of regional contra dance bands every season.

This site used to be maintained for our group but is no longer. It's funny how the internet has a way of memorializing the most trivial things! The group is still together but unfortunately the site isn't.

Our band's web site takes up a few pages of my business site. The name is longer, but you get there just the same:

    String Dusters

Lots of photos along with the usual information, but no music yet. You have to go to the "next page" to see me with a mandolin.
