Just to be sure are you trying to go to:

    http://www.mandolinproject.150m.com

    ?

    Can you access:

    http://www.150m.com

    ?

From time to time I've had trouble accessing the site from work for a day or two (somebody is probably trying to tell me something there...), because of what looks like to me DNS issues.

But there's a lovely version of Cowboy's Waltz on the Yahoo site.

Hmmm.....I'm not having any trouble getting to it here in the 'Chicago' area.

    Anyone else having trouble?

http://www.mandolinproject.150m.com/ works fine for me. The other link takes me to a page offering Free Web Space.

For what it is worth, I can not get into either site from Australia.

One of the TablEdit versions is the Jethro-style. That is the one I am learning. There is also a Monroe-style. These two are considered intermediate! If you have TableEdit, listen to the advanced version. I just laughed and moved on. Maybe next year.
Thanks for pointing that. It was fun listening to the different versions.

That Jethro version is verbatim what's in the book, note by note. That's the version that i'm learning too, but i like to swing it (maybe it's my instincts from playing Irish music).

I thought the hardest version out of those there was the Monroe one. I think i might be able play the "advanced" version if i had enough time to practice, but the Monroe version is beyond what i can do now. However, it has a lot of cool licks in it; i hope i can incorporate some of it into the Jethro version.

Thanks! This is the version in Jethro Burns' book (although he plays it a little different in the CD that comes with the book). I guess this is a good tune for variations. cool tune

I listened to the banjo version above, and it has fewer melody notes than the version i have.

It is a fun song to play, though, even as slowly as I play it.
All Monroe stuff is very advanced, and most tabledit files at Mandozone are pretty advanced no matter if they're categorized as intermediate or anything else. I think I'm going to stick to a recording, slow it down and just improvise my own version, since it's quite an easy tune. If I get any ideas from any nice recording, I may use them.

no luck at either site, either using my bookmark or following the link your signature lines. I go to this site all the time normally.

I figured server maintenance was the issue but was surprised to see no discussion of it here, so that's why I asked what was up.
