Thanks. Or perhaps, in lieu of me looking. But double mandolins - how cool, and I'd guess unusual in the rock world. Nice work.

Here, at last. Took halfway to forever to find this, and then by a roundabout route. Not very high quality visually, better as video than still IMO, plus we get to hear some nice double mandolin (plus accordion) before Mindy switches to fiddle, her primary instrument in The Hooters. From Germany, 1993.

I've also learned from this venture that thanks to a recent update, my computer now has the capability of taking a screenshot of a video. Up till now I've had to literally take a screen shot with my phone's camera and work with that, with results that were iffy at best. Especially with a pretty low-quality video like this.

If it's a Windows PC you've always been able to do screen shots. Hit Alt-PrtScn and paste it into Paint or any other program that allows it.

Now ya tell me! For years I've tried (now and then) hitting PrtScr to no avail. I assumed it was impossible and sought an alternative. I'd pause a clip at a good frame, take a pic, and do the do with that - not good, but better than nothing. Then a week or two ago I noticed a difference, a pop-up window that provided a selecting tool, so I didn't even have to paste the whole screenshot into Paint and crop it there, I could do so right in place. Gave it a try on a paused video, and ... ta-da!

I keep thinking, one of these days, I should see if the local community college has an Internet For Dummies course.

And they'll throw in the attitude for free. But yeah, now if only there were a kid out here in the boonies, somewhere ...

Anyway, thanks. And I think that's enough about me.

Here we have The First Ladies Of Bluegrass, whom I recently discovered. Fine and dandy!

Just got this in via fb, our own Pasha Alden McCallum. Might be a mandola, judging by scale. Hard to say though, as I believe she's petite.

I've no idea why (though I can guess) a friend posted this on my fb page.

Note that she's tuning, not playing. Well, it's about 50-50, right?

Young Agatha Christie. If you put this image in Google Image search, there will be a lot of other images of women with mandolins.
I’m not sure if this one is a woman, but it’s certainly an interesting image:

…apparently from a Thanksgiving radio show that Graham Nash and David Crosby played DJ on, with some CSN stuff and other favorite tracks of theirs.

More of a singer than "mandolinist" I could not help but admire this beautiful old Cittern Andrea Lena is playing, with a feather as the plectrum.

interestingly enough I have been attempting to play some of the chant music from the 12th century Codex Calistinus, I think I found my new favorite singer!
