Hey Jim,
Tell me more about the blacktop snakehead. What year is #it,model and is that a screw on pick-guard clamp?

Jim, what are those square-ish, solar panel-looking things on the tip of the peghead of the Pandinis? Is it part of the wood, therefore a stylish statement? It looks pretty nice, if so.

1923 (I believe) A2 and yes a screw-on pickguard.Originally Posted by (MML @ Feb. 03 2006, 20:48)

interesting, a black top A2. Does it have the white/black binding of the A2-Z?

It is a bit of MOP inlaid into what is called the finial. I always thought that it would be great to have an LCD TV on it.Originally Posted by (Amanda Lyn @ Feb. 03 2006, 20:49)
Actually it is common on some of the higher end bowlbacks.

Yeah, tho it is hard to tell where the black part ends. I think this one is very similar to Statman's.Originally Posted by (MML @ Feb. 03 2006, 21:40)

Not Mandolins, but they are both make from Cooktown Ironwood. #On top is a Bleazey in D and on the bottom is a Hoza in F:
Of course there is a bunch of Whistles, Some more Flutes, a Guitar, a Tenor Banjo, and Highland Bagpipes with accesories left out soon there should be a Zouk too. The Flutes are what I play the most. I used to have a Kentucky KM-380 but traded it for my Tenor Banjo.
Okay, I'll bite. My upright, Martin, and ISI Mandolin.

They were very similar... the difference was minimal. I like mine better but it is mine. Either are nice instruments.

Umberto Ceccherini times two. I don't know if they were in the maestro's workshop in Naples at the same time (they're undated but I suspect there are a couple of years between them), but if they were, then they're reunited after well over a century apart.
