I've been working up duets with a fiddle player and we're across the board as far as material.

The experience has been alot of fun trying to find what specific songs need in order for them to work. Whether its transcribing marshall/anger tunes for ideas, learning an allready existing duet, or changing up a full on barnburner.

I'm curious as to what people are doing out there #specifically for mando/fiddle duets?

    What are you listening to?
    What are you listening for?
How are you keeping the interest there for listeners? esp if you're not singing.

When it comes down to it. It's just alot different than playing with a guitar or non-chording instrument.
    dunno

I don't have much experience with the subject but Niles Hokkannen does have a tape dealing with mandolin backup for other higher pitched instruments, esp. fiddle. It probably has some ideas that would be useful to you in that format.
