Has anyone had any experience with Carver mandolins? That A in the classifieds looks very very nice...
That mandolin has "it" in spades...tone, playability, the package.
Skip Gorman played that mando in his "Monroe Style" workshop at Wintergrass, and more than once commented favorably on its attributes.
Chris is an easy guy to work with...he did a recent radius/refret for me, and if I didn't already own more instruments than I can play, I would have snapped up that A at W'grass.
If it is any indicator of the "Carver tone", Joe Craven purchased 2 of them after playing them at Wintergrass.
NFI, just giving props where props are due.

Chris is a heck of a nice a guy and is building some nice mandolins.
That Carver A is an impressive looking mandolin. Not a bad price either. Lp
