I'm wondering if anyone plays "Brokedown Palace" by the
Grateful Dead? Do you know the chords and do you have the tab for any solo???Thanks

Thanks Telemark. I will begin working on "Brokedown Palace"
in my repetoire. I think that the solo on the album is mainly tremolo. I will work up something a little bit more
elaborate.
The site you referred me to has the lyrics and the chords
for "Brokedown Palace". I once possessed the songbook for
the American Beauty album but then I kind of wandered from
the mandolin for about 15 years. I'm kind of re-learning
fiddle tunes and my favorite songs from the Dead and others. Thanks for your assistance in that process.......

IIRC the American Beauty songbook is (or was) hard to find, but Brokedown Palace is in the Anthology I. That used to be pretty easy to track down. Brokedown Palace is one of those great songs that doesn't get performed enough.

great tune! no need for tab of a solo- it is slow and sweet, and some tremolo of the melody works really well.

Does anyone else think this a difficult song to sing, or is it just me? Seems like I have to grab notes out of the air (i.e. not connected to the chord being played at that moment).
