I have a Kalamazoo KM-11 with a Waverly (or Waverly style) tailpiece that I am currently rebuilding to be my "work" mandolin (that is, I keep it in my office so I can serenade myself at lunch). The Waverly tailpice is held in place by three small screws but there is no strap button. Is there a traditional method of attaching a strap to these or do I have to play it like a man without the strap? I'm not keen on adding a strap button.
