I would like to inform you that a new edition of the mandolin method by Giovan Battista Gervasio has been recently published by QBForme in Rome.
Presentation, introduction and notes about the text were wrote by Fabio Menditto, mandolin teacher at the Conservatorio (Music High School/Academy) of Naples.
"The modern school of mandolin (first part)" is comprehensive of a cd which guides you through the method and the 6 duets for two mandolins of Gervasio. The text is in Italian, French and English.
    More information here.

I wonder if they plan on publishing the whole method, not just the book one.

The project is to go forward with other books, as I know. Of course, I think that it depends whether the first part will have a good acceptance. The publisher itself is a appasionate mandolin/mandola/mandoloncello player and he, as I was told, hopes to continue with the ohter parts of the method.

P.S. If anyone has tried to contact the publisher via e-mail and does not have received an answer yet, don't worry because the publisher was on holiday till the last sunday. In any case, if you have problems in contacting him, write please an e-mail directly to the Italian Mandolin Federation (FMI)
