A very atmospheric piece, Jo. Lovely blend of flute and oud. Have you added in reverb or did you record in a very active audio environment? Great sound anyway.

The Lament for Artie Declan by Donal Lunny, played here on mandolin ensemble including a Collings F5, Rigel G110, Macica F5, Gibson f4, Gibson A1, Weber and Gibson mandolas, Weber and Northfield octave mandolins and a Ratliff F4 mandocello.
This is one of the saddest melodies, on par with Barber's Adagio, or Shostakovich 8th string quartet.

Always interesting to hear the music from different parts of the world; Especially when payed well on an appropriate instrument. My classical training (many years ago) was very narrow in scope. The flute piece with Luca Manning seemed very spontaneous--was it improvised or scored?

Glad you enjoyed them both. Yes the collaboration with Luca was improvised.

Here's a quick little improv from the first night I got my Newport tenor. Definitely not a perfect performance but I absolutely love that guitar.

Eastwood Newport Tenor, Eastwood Airline Mandola
Cozart Electric Tenor, Cozart Electric Mando
    Hora Octave, Seagull S8
    ...and maybe some other stuff...
