Not sure if Gary will blow his own horn on this or not. Just received the new issue of Mandolin Magazine today and read a very good article on fellow Benton Harbor resident and Cafe member Gary Tope. I talked shortly with Gary on Sunday at a local jam and he never mentioned the article. We did talk about two of his mandolins that I had seen at Elderly last week. He was happy to inform me that one of them had just sold.

Gary is a great guy and buildes an excellent mandolin. He is also a very good instrument repaireman. I have sent my dad and a buddy to him and both where very happy with his work.

Gary is a good friend and a great craftsman. We talk at least a couple hours a week, usually more. We've done this for way more than a year. Maybe two? Now all we have to do is meet each other in person!
