Need a small name logo? #Say to go between your 15th fret, your wife's new fingernail job, or your next baby size mando head stock? #I just received these from Andy DePaule. The ones on the left are for my headstocks and the ones on the right are for ?? Give some ideas! I'll figure out something to use them for. #He does a fantastic job. #I can't begin to cut a name logo that small and have it come out right.

Very cool. How about the bottom corner of an ebony fingerboard for that retro japanese look?

I buy all my shell blanks and bone nuts from Andy, he's a great guy to work with and is very accomodating if you have a special project.

Another idea would be to have a miniature metal stamp made, such as is used by jewelers.

    Companies like
    http://www.infinitystamps.com/
    http://www.contenti.com
    http://www.harpermfg.com
can make almost any size including from artwork.

You can stamp the metal or wood piece then fill with color.

Fretboard markers? It would be pretty egotistical -- what kind of guy are you? :-)

I get my name from Andy too. They are handcut from his crew in Vietnam. Beautiful work they do.
Andy said he bought a bunch of high tech lazer cutters ect. and they say "no" saw by hand, and they also make thier own saw blades Andy told me!
You could inlay it on your eyebrow or lip, that seems to be "hip" these days!

You folks have some great Ideas. Maybe I'll use them on the side of another flute I'm building to match my mandos. If you go to Andy's site you can see pictures of his guys making their own saw blades. Now that's doing stuff by hand!

I'd scoop out the fingerboard and put it there. OR inlay somewhere on the bridge, if it would fit.
