    Hi guys,

Just got back from seeing Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. That blew me away, not usually a fan of the electric stuff but the sheer musicianship of those guys is astounding!

I took my Dad, he's never been to anything but a classical concert and is particular about his tastes... He loved it, mouth wide open, impressed!

    Anyone else get there?

A good Flecktones show is seatbelts required. London? England?

Cool. How did the audience respond?

I saw Bela & the Flecktones in 1992 at the old Manchester (England) Free Trade Hall. They were the supporting act for Bonnie Rait. All told the whole concert was awesome,Bela's Banjo playing was astounding. I was sat in the front row, about 12 feet away from him. The Wooten brothers are a sight to behold on their own.

    Yep London England!!

Yeah that bass was pretty awesome, never seen one played even half that speed and he even did a solo set at one point when Bela and the rest went off stage - sweet sweet music!

Belas solo set was amazing too - encorporated so much into it, every now and then I would pick up a bit of Bach, a fiddle tune or something else and just think - this guy rocks!!!

There ensemble work was faultless and was definately appreciated by the crowd.

All in all, one of the best £20 I've spent!

Got Willie Nelson (4 seats from the stage) in Glasgow (Scotland!!) next Sunday!!!

I'm seeing Bela in Dublin (Ireland) on Friday night! I'm bringing a Lithuanian girl who does not know anything about what she is going to see! I took her to see her first bluegrass band a couple of weeks ago "Special Concensus" and that blew her away so I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction on Friday.
