Every year at the end of April, the hills come alive with the sound
of music. XM Radio is proud to bring you MerleFest 2007 from Wilkes
Community College in Wilkesboro, NC, the 20th annual festival in
celebration of the music of the late Merle Watson and his father Doc
Watson. MerleFest offers a generation and genre crossing mix of
traditional and contemporary roots music, bringing together the very
best of bluegrass, contemporary acoustic, Celtic, blues, folk, old-
time, Cajun, jazz, and singer-songwriter music's. You'll hear artists
like Doc Watson and Merle's son Richard, Blue Highway; Sam Bush; John
Cowan Band; Donna The Buffalo; Jerry Douglas; The Duhks; Paul
Geremia; Pam Tillis; The Waybacks; and many others. Listen to X
