    This case may be original to the instrument but was it this color originally?

    It does look like they did a nice job. As the owner of a red Eastman case and the possible future owner of a red Calton I'm kind of drawn to it.

    Looks like an original recovered in another color to me.

    My vote is painted...you can see some streaks in the top view and the latches all look untouched
