With the mandolin "wunderkid" phenomenon currently fraught with so many gifted musicians like Scott Gates, Josh Pinkham, Sierra Hull, Bryce Milano, etc., it's nice to see one stand out on electric mandolin. Eva Holbrook, soon-to-be known Colorado musician extraordinaire, is releasing her first solo CD, "The Very Last Dream."

This is one you need to check out, if nothing else to see the breathtaking pictures of her Seafoam Green Schwab Tele Emando. We just posted a review at JazzMando:

Delightful stuff from a 17 year young woman. Will be interesting to watch her career develop.

I'm late to this party, but here at last is my review.

Terrific review, Martin. I'm excited in that I get to hear her next month in Omaha. My 9 year-old is also a huge fan. Watching videos of her family (SHEL) band play, she was inspired enough to pick up the violin.

Now THAT'S being a great influence on kids!

We were lucky enough to catch Eva Holbrook at the D-Note in Arvada CO at open mic night recently. She was very impressive and innovative. I will probably need to pay to see her next time. She played some original tunes and had a great singing voice. Watch for this one.

I'm bumping this thread to be used as our new 'Eva Holbrook acoustic mandolin thread' in the General Mandolin Discussions Forum.
(We can continue to use this thread as our 'Eva Holbrook electric mandolin thread').
Isn't it exciting to follow a mandolin player so young yet so skilled on both acoustic and electric mandolin?!
Anyways, here's Eva playing some Bach on her new Weber Octave Mandolin. Beautiful!

Eva on a Weber Soprano Mandolin. Brilliant as always.
