Haven't played this one yet, but should have my hands on it thursday. It's my father's prototype, he'll be going into production soon.

Looks nice. Is that back really arched that high near the heel or is that an illusion? Also, what's going on with the bridge saddle? Can you tell us more about it?

Tell us about that bridge saddle too!
2015 Chevy Silverado
2 bottles of Knob Creek bourbon
1953 modified Kay string bass named "Bambi"
It looks like the neck angle is really steep so the bridge needed a bigger saddle. Whats the saddle and nut made of?
Look up (to see whats comin down)
What's with the nut? Looks great!
Interesting...Can you tell us more about the nut, bridge, and neck angel?
One way or another, it is very nice looking for #1.

What you can see of it in those photos looks nice but you can't tell much at that angle.

I have the same questions as have been stated plus one more.
In the first pic. (rear view) the back of the headstock seems to be lifted up and separate from the the front part of the head stock. I wonder is that an illusion or is it part of the prototype that hasn't been finished as of now?
Love the color and depth of the wood grain.
Looks like a good series to be in the hands of mandolin players everywhere.

Strobe tuned plates? ;-)

The nut and bridge are hand carved out of bone, the gloss does create an illusion, I am trying to upload more photos, but the images are all too large, for some reason these ones worked. The good news is that I got to play it and am thorougly impressed. Considering that I turn up my nose at some pretty expensive mandos, may father was really happy. By the way the plates are stobe tuned. I couldn't believe the sustain. I hardly had to pick the strings to get them to ring out. Looks like I am getting rid of my old mando, anyone looking for a used Pomeroy?
