I went over to a my mother's friend's house to look at a couple of his father's mandolins. I first played what looked like a Stradolin, but there wasn't a label or anything inside of it. He then brought in a case and pulled out a Gibson A1. It was in good condition except for a couple of the normal dings, scratches, etc; and it was missing one tuner bushing. It was a pumpkin top with the original tailpiece and pickguard. It did have an adjustable bridge on it with the patent date stamped on it. I'm wasn't quite sure if the bridge was original because I thought that they originally came with a one piece bridge.
The SN is 26760. Can anybody give a rough production date?
Thanks,
Micah
