Really nice stuff. Thanks for posting the link. Any idea about tuning used on the tenor in this genre?

I suspect that they are using the traditional CGDA tuning. It sounds rather high pitched to my ear. You can also hear it with Marco de Pinna: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vJ5Nd0s-NM

I prefer GDAE on my Reso Tenor, but I didn't try much Choro on it to date. It's enough work to play it on Mando so far.

I was surprised to see these listed on Del Vecchio's website - apparently they're still in production.. in Brazil. Not exactly digging the look of the four-eye portholes, though.
