    remember the thread on this one? odd picture angle made snakehead look odd.

    does this look right?

    well - it's trying to be pawned off by some scammer on albany, ny craigslist! this is near and dear to me as albany is my home town. was planning on a rosh hashana trip home/snakehead pickup - but something seemed too familiar...the distorted peghead and clamshell tp just gave it away. same pics, same description - with same errors:

    Right, and if you respond to the ad, you get some nonsense about how the seller is on his honeymoon in Hawaii, but he'll send you payment instructions through Isoldit, blah, blah. It's all malarkey.

    Interesting... I just got similar email about a Calace mandolin advertised on craigslist in NM. It did sound suspectm and they did mention Isoldit.

    So, the "honeymoon in Hawaii" is the latest scam "tell". There's an ad on the Raleigh craigslist foe a 50's Fender 4-neck steel guitar. I responded, and got that response too. It's a good thing that most of these scammers arent too bright.

    and the monteleone radio flyer guy was going there too.....it's either hawaii or back to Iraq. No where in between. War or paradise.
