Didn't a Henderson just go for $7,000 a couple of months ago? Have they increased in value that much? I think the other one was a newer also.

well - anyone can ASK whatever price they want, you see it all the time - there is a guy in CA asking 675,000 for a Loar - now what it SELLS for is another ball game.
Hendersons guitars (thanks to that clapton book) are now in the $20-30K range - if you put his mandos on par with some of the other top tier builders, $11K is VERY resonable - i think they have been undervalued for the last 5 years while everyone else's have rocketed up.
btw, you cant get many mandolins of that pedigree for less than $12k these days - the days of $7k handmade mandos (from top builders) are over.
UMGF had a recent thread on his guitars that the mods mercifully closed. #
If you can wade through the visceral comments that seem to frequent their forum as of late, there are some truths about Wayne Henderson, his reasonable charges to the buyer, etc.
Things are probably worth what somebody is willing to pay for them. #Usually less if you got no money.

I'm waiting for Wayne to start on my A5 - all in good time. . . . .
