Hey there, i'm thinking of giving myself the Doc and Dawg DVD for christmas. Anyone have opinions, I love both those guys.

Also grisman's "home is where the heart is" cd. Is that a compilation from acoustic disc or is that a Grisman CD?

    Thanks in advance.

Doc and Dawg DVD (i have it on VHS) is great.
home is where the heart is NOT a compilation of acoustic disc. It a comilation of Grisman playing with various artists. It's not a "Best of". Maybe some versions can be found on other CDs but I do not think so. It one of my favorites.

I don't have the Doc and Dawg video but do have great memories of seeing them live.
Home Is Where The Heart Is - a great double album now cd. Some great guests and late (rip) guests: Porter Church, Red Allen.

This is one of the 30-40 DVDs that I've bought and haven't watched yet. Sounds like I need to open it!

As far as dawg albums retrograss is my favorite followed closely by Bluegrass reunion with Red Allen and some tracks with jerry Garcia singing some authentic bluuuuegrass music I believe ashes of love and the fields have turned brown
