    Hiya

What sort of neck are you looking at? "Fender" or "Gibson" style?

I've been making some necks (and adding to my tool collection) since finishing the Less Paul Very Junior project. I'm making necks in both styles out of Australian pine and ash/oak. The ash/oak ones are fairly heavy, and the pine ones a bit soft, although with the steel bar epoxied in they're strong as anything. The fingerboards are ash/oak or jarrah. Once I've finished some I'll post pics for you.

I leaned a lot on the LPVJ, and since then I've invested in router bits, forstner bits, a small set of drum sanders for the drill press, and a scrollsaw which has made the whole job a lot easier. This weekend I'm picking up some fretwire, so that's the next step in the learning process!

Soon I'd like to get some Queensland maple and get serious about the whole neck thing! Once the necks are up to the quality I want to attack some bodies.

I have to warn you, it's very addictive!

Here is another one on ebay. Its at $30 now. I wonder if these are made in the US or not? I find it interesting that this persons listings are mostly necks.

    Hi Max

I'm not sure what the forum rules are regarding self promotion and giving prices, so I'll message you privately.
