    Well, I've played my friend's new Elmo mandolin on 3 separate occasions, and I must say that it is a GREAT sounding mandolin. Very full and resonate, as well as having plenty of volume when needed. The neck is a thicker profile in depth, which I like also.

    I have #23 built in 1989. Awesome mandolin. It’s the only one he built with a barking cedar top and herringbone binding.
