Can anyone recommend a good folding chair to take to festivals where the arms don't get in the way while picking? Appreciate any suggestions.
I've found little black folding chairs, at Rite-Aid or Longs or somewhere, with small seats and backrests, perfect for fests and cheap.

Wal-mart sells a steel folding stool in two heights for about $20.00. I buy the taller of the two and pack a few in the trunk of my car. They take up very little room when they are folded flat. Excellent for picking.

Yeah, those are exactly like what I have, except without the back part, now I gotta find some of those too.

    Mike:
That stool idea is brilliant! Why didn't I think of that? I'm going to Wally World and buying one of those hummers. That will be much more comfy than the usual jagged tree stump I seem to always find.

Those Wal-Mart stools are the shiznit, allright! I got one to use while I'm dialing in the PA at band gigs. Not much in the way of padding, but good height at 24" and a generous seat diameter of 14".
