I have just recently seen pictures of these, and they do look very nice.

They come with a radius fretboard, (ebony) and an adjustable bridge, round hole, solid top.

I am looking for something to back up my Trinity College mando, and these look like they could have come from the same factory.

Has anyone had any experience with them, first or word of mouth.

Would be very interested in any info.

    Thanks,

    Epi.

He's asking about the new line of flat tops. As far as I know there were only a few prototypes and no one here has posted about them.

I bought one of the bouzoukis and there's a review of that in the CBOM section.

Believe it or not I'm well versed in the art of the "search".

Matter of fact, used it much today trying to research something about the J Bovier "FOLK" mandolin; which you would have understood had you read the inquiry.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Epi.

Thanks Steve, will check it out.

Sorry, Epi... you are right. I did not see the "folk" part and thought you were just inquiring about J. Bovier mandolins. I don't see this model on their site tho. Where did you see it?

Me too, Jim; sorry that is. Late night and a long drive. Not usually so short in the grain.

Saw one advertised in the Cafe "new instruments" J Bovier Folk
    mandolins.

    Cheers,

    Epi.

But:::We played tonight for a group who gave us a standing O. That means a bunch.

Looks like JBovier is getting into the "non-bluegrass" realm as well; cf this thread # on their new bouzoukis.
