I entered the contest last month for one of Doug's free armests and actually won. I couldn't believe it...I never win anything!

At any rate, Doug custom-made me this beautiful armrest for my mandolin. I sent him a tracing of the body and he made it perfect for my flattop. I left the choice of wood up to him as well, and I must say that I think he made the perfect choice. The rosewood goes really well with my mandolin. Thank you, Doug!

After I installed the armrest I gave the mando a workout and I do believe I have a bit more volume now. It's also really comfortable. I highly recommend getting one of these from Doug if you're in the market.

Congrats, Caleb. I won Doug's November contest (On my birthday!) Doug made me a beautiful Birdseye Maple one for my A9. I love it. Thanks again Doug. Great product, great guy.
She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

Is that the McClung style? I've got one coming from Doug.

Hmmm... not sure about it being a "McClung" style, since I don't know what that is. Sorry.

I appreciate the good press Caleb. Glad you are enjoying the armrest. You have a custom fitted McClung style for your camp fire mandolin. The armrest is angled lower in the back and higher in the front, like the angle of your strings to the bridge. This give you better hand position and control as well as being ergonomic.

I've done a monthly drawing for a year now. I think it's the best form of advertising, plus it allows me to be the good guy at least once a month.

Others can sign up for the drawing by clicking on the website at the bottom of my signature line. Currently I'm developing a new website, but the drawing will continue/follow on it when it's ready. (BTW, bragging on your armrest is not a requirement)
