Just learned one of my favorite mandolin players,RHONDA VINCENT, is giving a FREE concert at 7:00 pm at Fountain Park in Van Wert, Ohio, on Saturday, July 25, 2008.

More Info at Van Wert Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Phone 419-239-9378.

She puts on a fast paced music filled show! Rhonda and the Rage are dynamos.

Saw her at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on the 10th. The show and the acoustics were great. She had a hard time keeping the top of her dress up. Sort of odd for a bluegrass venue but sadly she was successful.

Mandoplyr 70 - Sorry about the day/date. The concert is FRIDAY July 25. Free concerts are the best.

Interesting concept. #My experience has always been that free concerts are the worst because of the audience. #They didn't pay so its no loss for them to talk thru the performance.

Added note: #Of course there is not audience talking in all free concerts and total silence in all paid concerts. #There are other factors - outside festival verus in door seating but my experience still supports that free audiences are worse.

I don't know, I've been places where people paid money and talked through the concert. It's part of what people do.

By the way guys, this is a family forum. Please temper your posts to reflect that value.

Sorry Mike. She joked about her dress malfunction all during the show. Looking back I guess it was rather tacky. Both her dress and my comment.

We spent a evening with Rhonda.
The night had been rescheduled as her daughter was having a baby as I remember.
The performance was hindered as the sound system had failed. Rhonda asked everyone to get closer as she would perform acoustically. She performed several songs for us before the system kicked in. The venue when full would hold 250, we were all of 50 or less that night.
Great singer/artist, my wife and I would love to see her again anytime soon. I think we must have spent at least 30 minutes or more talking mandos together.
