    Post Wish You Were Here

    Howdy all

I'd been asked some questions about Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd) recently and have put my own version up on YouTube. It's very close to the guitar, but with some mandolin liberties (and also some liberties for faulty memory, as I don't think I'd played it on guitar in 15 years).

The octave is my new-to-me Kimble OM. If it looks familiar, it's the one Compton was playing the last couple years.

Wish You Were Here (with a bit of Fearless at the beginning)

sweet. I liked the intro bits a bunch too. Always a fun ride, your Utube vids, Jim.

    Thanks!

I guess it's the courses. You really need the 12-string (or a mando) to sound authentic. I was just talking about playing a Taylor 12-string in another part of the forum last week... that's one of the songs I was playing. Sounds good Jim, as usual. Like the new ax too.

The octave courses for the G and D do make a difference in this situation.
