Default Mick Moloney's new octave mandolin

I delivered a new octave mandolin to Mick Moloney last night in NYC. The instrument has a 22.5" scale, Claro Walnut back & sides, Adirondack Red Spruce top and Mahogany neck.

I caught up with him at a rehearsal for the October 12th. Symphony Space New York City Benefit Concert "Irish Musicians for the Mercy Center". Along with Mick, the concert features: Green Fields of America, Cherish the Ladies, Tommy Sands, Peter Yarrow, Robbie O’Connell, Jimmy Crowley, The Washington Square Harp and Shamrock Orchestra. Up South, The Burns Sisters, John Murphy and Frank Crocker, Dana Lyn, Niall O’Leary and his school of Irish dance.

Not very good ones......sorry. If you contact me off-line, I'm sure I have photos of quite similar instruments.

    Take care,
    Bob

The fund raising event mentioned earlier has now, of course, already occured. No doubt it was wonderful! Alas, I had to return to New Hampshire and was unable to attend.

What a great cause, a great player, a great builder, and a terrific OM. Thanks for sharing your lovely work, Bob.
