    Default Bluegrass Boogie

Here's one I just penned. I also may call it Briggadier Boogie:

It's the video on the front screen.

Kevin, cracks me up how you can't get enough of that open G chord on that Fern! It does have something special there doesn't it?! Cool tune. I like how your bluegrass and folk/rock sensibilities collide there!

Hey Kevin, nice playing and the fern sounds spectacular as always! I've been having a hard time hearing how to play Monroe style. Listening to this song, a light bulb went on ....Monroe mandolin style is very similar to Chuck Berry guitar style. I'm sure that's already been discussed to the point of boredom but it was new for me.

In any case, I'm going to give it a whirl...having played lots of Chuck Berry on the guitar, it shouldn't be too hard to translate and test it out...

Thanks for turning on that light!

I sometimes say that Chuck Berry should have sent Monroe half his royalties. Then I remember that poor old Chuck got screwed and never really made anything on those early hits. But it's amazing how much Monroe there is in something like "Johnny B Goode".

    Thanks for your replies.

I am going to work in a little something extra in the 'B' part. Just a few notes to drive it home. It may be too chordy. I want that sound though.
