I just want to thank again those here at The MandolinCafe, who helped me decide on getting The Loar LM-600-VS Mandolin this past fall. For me it has been the perfect instrument. Folkmusician.com set the mandolin up perfect and it really sounds great. If anyone out there is thinking of a new mandolin for under $1000.00 besure to check-out this model.

Nice to know that you've got a Mandolin that you really like,that's 9/10's of the battle. Playing a 'disliked' instrument,should we call it,is pretty pointless & definitely does not encourage one to practice - enjoy your instrument Dave & keep at it,

I'm with you and Mark. I'm loving my Loar LM 600. Got it in September and I've been gigging plenty with it and even writing a few new "tunes" (a first me, despite being a longtime songwriter) on it.
