    When I was a little guy growing up in Madisonville, TN, if I wasn't up to goodness, I got a lump of coal. Nice tune, what are you playing? I like the sound. I built an octave a few yrs back, just couldn't get the tone out of it I wanted. I think I will pull it out of the case and do a tune. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a Merry Christmas.

    Jim-- thanks! that's my Trinity College octave, capo 3. no pick this time.

    hmmm...a big hit would be fun, if you know anyone "in the know" :-)

    yeah...do it! I'm not an advocate of MAS in general, but I always love having such a different sound for (roughly) the same technique. it really did change my musical life. if this little clip inspires you to want to get one, I'd say you're already 90% there, since I'm not doing anything special here.
