Hey Alan,
I'm intrigued and would like to hear your interpretations. Did you mean to post sound clips?

How about some alternative Christmas carols? I love to play Childgrove, which sounds like it ought to be a default Christmas song because of its old English chord structure, much in the same vein as Greensleeves. Let's also add The Rosebud of Allenvale for the same reason.

That is probably my all time favorite Christmas mandolin tune. Just beautiful.
It is terrific. 3 mandolin solos, sandwiched around a fat clarinet solo...hey, there's your clarinet/mando thing going on
The mando solos are:
Melody: Fred Carpenter
1st take off: Aubrey Haynie
2nd take off: Richard Kriehn
I hear Charlie Parker, Bill Monroe and Slash, all rolled into one well-played seasonal chestnut
Just posted a killer version of "Christmas Time is Here" recently recorded by Oklahoma Hall of Fame Fiddler Shelby Eicher on jazz mandola, who frequents the Cafe regularly. Audio file is here.
Background information on Shelby and TAB in this week's Tips & Tricks at JazzMando.
I'm slowly trying to figure out by ear (i.e., haven't found tab or looked hard for free sheet music) My Favorite Things. Other than that God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Jazzy style), Angels we have heard on high, some Lenten tunes from my Hymnal.

Here's my chord melody arrangement of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
"Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" and "Jingle Bell Rock" are fun on the mando.
Last night on WUNC Back Porch music, heard another mando version of Sleigh Ride, this one from Sam Bush with Darell Scott and Victor Kraus on bass. Pretty dang good.
14 Strings: Neat tune and nice arrangement! Good chords, the melody is all there, and it's easy to read. To pick a few nits: at the end of bar 5 I would suggest 9-10-10-12 instead of 10-10-10-12. Bar 33 seems a little strange; maybe try 5375 (F maj7) instead of 3355 (Bb maj7). It would be nice to get a chord in under the high E in bar 34. Maybe 10-0-0-12 (Dm add9). You should record this and let us hear it.
Another jazzy one is Mel Tormé's "Christmas Song". I've posted my own version on Youtube:

Bruce:
Thanks for your great suggestions; much appreciated. I've been meaning to get a YouTube up but alas another season has passed me by. Hopefully next year.
I liked your "Chestnuts Roasting on a Mando" as well as your other YouTube's.
Great arrangements and playing.
Maybe I can work up your "White Christmas" for next year! I noticed you too had the obligatory Jingle Bells tag at the end
Also enjoyed the "Christmas Time is Coming" that Ted posted.
Have a Merry everyone!
Alvin and the Chipmunks version of Christmas Time is Here came to mind. ..
