The description for this section states: Currently available only for viewing and replying to threads, not starting them. So what you experience applies to everyone, not just you. It's a hold-over from a previous forum and remains as a place for me to start threads that are miscellaneous in nature but of the type that I prefer others don't start their own (Photoshop, etc.).
