Do you find yourself "becoming one with the mandolin" as well?
I just put mine in the microwave for about 20 seconds and... (Please don't try this at home).

On a similar but unrelated odd habit, I read somewhere (perhaps here on the cafe) a suggestion to breathe into each f hole before putting the mandolin away, as a way to impart a little more humidity, and I've done so every time I've played this winter. I have wondered what the mandolin thinks of this.
Why not just play the appropriate note on the mando? I try not to put my mando down long enough for it to cool off!
