Default Mountain View, Arkansas....nice springtime weather

Now that we are finally seeing some nicer weather, has anyone been up to Mountain View ? I think there is an annual event April 17th. I'm hoping to get up there a couple of weekends before to tune up a little !

Beautiful country. My family settled on the White River near what became Fayetteville in 1829 and I think it is still in my blood.

.............and trout fishing on the White River, Blanchard Springs Cavern, Greers Ferry Lake, Bull Shoals. I sure miss it. In Mt. View, Grandma picks, and Grandpa, and Ma & Pa, and all the kids. A jammers paradise. Watch out for the motorcycles on the winding roads, though. The food is great and the crafters a cut above the typical tourist trade stuff. Don't expect much out of the instrument dealers on the square. Mostly imported stuff of questionable quality. Always a good supply of strings and accessories, though. Any quality instrument will be priced high.
Almost forgot. I VERY highly recommend Gastons Resort below the Bull Shoals Dam on White river for brunch on Sunday. That's an experience! The decor is amazing, as are the hummingbirds and the trout swimming by the window. The food is to die for gourmet. It's a bit north of Mt. View, but worth the drive.
