    Thumbs up Quick !!! Service

    Kudos to Elderly Instruments.

Bought a mandolin manual from them recently. Went for coffee, and it was in my mailbox when I got back...............well............not quite that fast, but we, up here, are used to snail mail and long waits.

Not this time. They getter done.

    Thanks

    Epi.

Elderly rules...as do all the merchants who advertise on the cafe.

I've done business with many of them, Elderly in particular, and I've NEVER had a problem!

And they have cool ballcaps to boot! (NFI)

Another hat thread, HaHa that's funny!

Say Lee, a bit off topic but are there active volcanoes in Antarctica?

There's another thread going about volcanoes of all things and I'm just curious.

    Now, back to mandolin content!

That's some central heating system you've got there Lee!. Getting back to the OP's thread,a good mailing service is a great thing for a store / company to have. I ordered a new armrest for my Stelling Banjo direct from Stelling,on a Monday morning.I didn't receive an e-mail advising me of the posting of it,so i e-mailed Stelling on the Thursday, got no reply - on Friday morning the armrest arrived thro.my letter box.No wonder with a delivery outside the US like that, they don't need to send messages. I've had excellent service from Janet Davis & FQMS,the 2 stores that i usually deal with. When it come to it,you guys & gals in the USA,usually get great service from your stores. A few years back,i ordered & paid for a set of Ebony bridge pins for my Guitar over the phone.I was told by the UK store i ordered from, that they'd put them in the post within 7 days !!. These things are so small, you'd put them in an ordinary envelope to send them & SEVEN days - ridiculous. If i couldn't do better than that,i'd give up & get a job i LIKED !,

You know what saska? I'm hoping that with the struggling economy and the 'New Personal Economics' (spend less, save more) that seems to be overtaking us here in the US, that more retail establishments will re-think their 'customer service' policies and attitudes.

When everything shakes out, I think there will be much more competition for the consumers' dollars and the ones that will get mine will be the ones with best service...I long for the days of "The customer is always right!".

Having said that, there definately are 'good' retailers, like Elderly, and others that have earned my loyalty and will get my business in the future. It amazes me no end how retailers associated with the Cafe like Doug Edwards, Tonerite, Cumberland Acoustics, and on and on have been consistently excellent in the way they treat their customers.

Now if I could just get some more Tonerite, Cumberland Acoustics and other free stickers...just kidding HaHaHa.

Another plug for Elderly service here: They have bent over backwards for me, including fixing while I wait and no charges. Elderly service rocks!
