Hi Folks,
I am curious if anyone knows some good music stores in the York, PA area, and perhaps south towards Baltimore. Looking mandolins/mandolin family, as well as a good deal on a b***o for a fella in my band. Can anyone help me out???

Sure: head south on I-83 toward Baltimore, around the B'more beltway (I-695) to the west, and visit Appalachian Bluegrass Shoppe in Catonsville. http://www.appalachianbluegrass.com/
Only slightly farther in the other direction, and also well worth the drive: Meadowood Music in Kutztown, PA. http://www.meadowoodmusic.com/
Don't forget Bluett Bros!

I used to live in York PA! Went to that Bluett Bros web site. The shop is about a mile from where I used to live. Of course at the time I lived there, I had no interest in mandolins. I could have watched him build a nice one for me!

Wade,
I work in Hummelstown, live in Wrightsville (York County).
Down 83, try Campbell's Music Service:

Small shop. More guitars and banjos than mandolins, but I hear they now have Eastman. Really great people.
Repairs/set up are done by Chris Warner, a good luthier and a pro banjo player (played with Jimmy Martin, recently with Audie Blaylock).
It's not that life is short, but that we waste so much of it.
