A spectacular day of Bluegrass music, food, crafters, vendors and youth activities in the scenic environment of America’s largest municipal forest awaits those who visit Jefferson Memorial Forest’s fifth annual Forest Fest on Saturday, May 16. The concert is free, but parking will be $5 per carload.

Five bands will perform live music, beginning at 11 a.m, in the forest’s Horine Section. Buck Creek, Stone Hollow, Hog Operation(Steve Cooley on banjo), and Tony Holt and the Wildwood Valley Boys will serve as the opening acts for international Bluegrass stars, Cherryholmes. As America’s new first family of bluegrass, Cherryholmes has stormed to the top of the bluegrass world by winning the 2005 IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Award for Entertainer of the Year.
