My band, Mixt Company, is playing Friday night at the Full Moon Pickin' Party, beginning around seven PM at the Steeplechase Barn, Percy Warner Park, Old Hickory Blvd, south of Nashville. Tn... A couple of other bands also, don't remember who right now. Hope to see you out there. I love to "test-drive" other mandolins...

I used to go to the Full Moon pickin' parties back in the early 80's when I lived in Nashville. I would also go to the Station Inn on Sundays to the Asstear and play with: Alan O'Bryant, Pat Enright and others. Bill would come in sometimes and get up and dance. Those were fun days and I miss them. It was great to play some Bluegrass on a regular basis.

Gawrsh-dern it, it's a little late for the Full Moon, which happened on May 9 at 4:01 AM GMT....

Yeah, they missed the actual full moon this time, but it was because this year it coincided with the Nashville tradition, The Iroquois Steeplechase horse race, held at Percy Warner Park. So they put the Full Moon Party to the following weekend.
