I'm in Galway getting ready to go to town and Busk, Listen, etc... It's the second day of the Galway Sessions here in Ireland. I've sat in on a session in Tramore, busked on the streets of Killarney, now Galway! All that aside, no need not to wish you a Happy Birthday! Dan

    Happy birthday Ted.

Thanks to you, I play three kinds of mandolin: f-hole, round hole and solid body. And you were right. They all do different things.

    Have a great day.

But how old may the Eschliman be???
And: What´s an Eschliman??? (A Gläsmer is [as a certain consensus has it] a Klezmer musician... go figure)

Many happy returns in good health!

63 today. That’s 3 years into losing that new ‘60s sheen.

You're not loosing any sheen. You haven't even got started yet. There's a german 70ies pop song (Schlager) that says it all: "Mit 66 Jahren, da fängt das Leben an."

In another lifetime I enjoyed hitchhiking into Lincoln, visiting the Capitol (sort of being the blind passenger in another group's tour) and playing music in the greyhound bus station (me playing country and bluegrass tunes while a black guy showed me funk).
