    Default "Christmas Time's A-Coming"

Our church pastor told me he'd like to hear "Christmas Time's A-Coming" during one of our upcoming Christmas services. He's a good old boy from Tennessee so I'm not really surprised.

Any one have music, chords, notes, tabs or anything charted out? I'll find a copy on iTunes so I have something to listen to, but printed aids are always helpful. Thanks.

I'm sure good ole YouTube will have any number of performances.
words can be found by way of Google. Chords are pretty simple 1,4,5 progressions. with the "B" part of the chorus going "1" chord into the "4" chord...

Bill Monroe's original solo is in the Dave Peters book Masters of the Mandolin.

Gotta put the Vibraphone part in it, just like WSM did!

Yet another good excuse to get your copy of that book! The song is in E. Tex Logan wrote it and had a special cross-tuned fiddle part, which he couldn't be on hand for (probably busy with all that electrical engineering stuff).

Thanks, everyone. Looks like I'll be doing some woodshedding for the next couple of weeks.
