A bunch of stuff with four strings
That is weird. Starting bid of $225, "Buy It Now" of $7.5K?? With the back separating, I'd say even the $225 was upper-end for a quite well-worn Strad-O-Lin. Wonder if he misplaced a decimal point, meant to say $750, or what?
No bids. As the kangaroo said to the bartender over his $17.50 whiskey sour, when the bartender noted that "we don't get many kangaroos in here": "No, and you're not likely to, with these prices!"

It might be worth $200.00 for just the case.

Ah, so clever, these eBayers. I think he did all that on purpose including the mispellings. This of waht a bargain you could get ... a $7500 instrument for a mere $225.
I had a guy email me some time ago asking about evaluating a bowlback. I told him maybe $200 and he put it on for $775 buy-it-now. He told me that he had a guitar for sale that maybe should have gone for 1800 and he someone paid the buy-it-now for $2500.

Man, what's mine worth?
I suspect the tuners and the tailpiece were both changed by the way. The case might actually be worth more than the mandolin is, as Jim has pointed out.
Buy it now price was $550 when I looked.

Still much too high. The opening bid price of $225 might have made a realistic "Buy It Now." But the back's separated, it's got scads of playing wear...nice case, though. Strad-O-Lins are good cheap mandolins, but let's be realistic, OK?
