Default A Jazzy Note - Duo Vibracao

Wow, another great itunes find, I'm not even sure I stumbled upon it. I guess it may be old news, it was released in 2008, but its new to me. It reminds me of Stephane Wrembel and Grisman's "Gypsy Rumble". Duo Vibracao's link to the album can be found at:

If you get over to Germany, in Solingen (near Cologne) you can visit the guitarist, Oliver Waitze, at his store, New Acoustic Gallery and pick up some tips (and nice instruments!) from him.

The Duo is now a Trio, see here (in German). I saw them at the Mandolin Workshop last year, tremendous! They got Don Stiernberg up with them for a few tunes.

I also just stumbled upon this recording. What a great album. Some nice tunes that I hadn't heard before, which is nice since I have so many versions of the standards (not that there is anything wrong with that). Highly recommended for jazz fans, or anyone looking for something different on the mandolin front.

    Hi Gypsy Jazz fan!

I constructed a link to the transcription of the CD on my website (pdf).

    Jesper:

Thanks for the transcriptions - lots of material to wrap my fingers around! Great playing on that CD - I'll have to pull it out of the pile and listen again; it's been a while!
