Some of the Bach is very playable. I've been at mandolin for a little over a year and have been working on Bouree I & II from Suite III for violincello, transposed for violin. It is a really nice piece and not too difficult although more challenging as I work up to speed.

Just back from 3 weeks in Berlin, Germay. While there, I spent one day and 1/2 in Leipzig, and visited the two churches in that city that he wrote and played music for. Also while in Berlin I bought the new cd by Hilary Hahn, "Bach: Violin & Voice" which is a lovely recording of vocal and orchestra Bach pieces.
