Thread: baroque fiddle

    Default baroque fiddle

on fiddlehangout, chuck naill posted the transcript of a talk concerning early fiddle music and how it was played - mostly in great britain - probably of general interest but his observations on timing, crosstunings, etc. should appeal to us all:

... anyone coming up with a more appropriate name for "nashville shuffle" wins a hearty handshake and a calender (virtual.)

thanks for the link, that article was a great read, just what i was in the mood for earlier... it really has me wondering what the actual talk was like especially with the musical examples that are missing from the transcript
