    Default Julio Pereira - Portuguese Multi-instrumentalist

    A Portuguese friend gave me a wonderful LP from 1984 called Cadoi by Julio Pereira. She thought that he stopped playing or that the CDs would be hard to come by in the US. Seems like there are quite a few to download on both eMusic and iTunes. great stuff and lots of energy.

    He was mentioned on a thread about fado under jazz/world but I thought this would more appropriate.

    Here is a video from that LP/CD Cadoi from 1984. They say it is the first music video in Portugal.

    Thanks for posting those, seems like the guy is very much still active judging by his website which has lots more music to listen to, video to watch, and very a fine collection of old mandolin photos - well worth a look.
